Archangel Michael
Mighty Archangel Michael is the protector of humanity, the supreme incorruptible commander-in-chief of all the archangels and he leads the heavenly forces against evil. He carries a sword made of a sapphire blue flame and is associated with empowerment and development of the throat and third eye chakras. Michael helps us with clarity in communication at all levels. He is an angel to call upon in all sorts of situations, for instance if: you need physical strength to get through the next hour, day or week; you wish to cut the ties that bind to free you from your hurt; your life is suddenly dark and you are afraid. The crystals for Michael are sapphire, blue or yellow topaz and citrine.
Angels
Since surviving a car accident, which really should have ended my Mum's life, and mine I have always believed I had a Guardian Angel looking after me.
What are angels?
Angels are beings of pure spirit who dwell in the ether, which is the fifth element (the others are earth, air, fire and water). Unlike spirit guides who have once been human and chosen to return and help the living, angels have, in the main, never been human. The word angel is derived from the ancient Greek angelos meaning 'messenger'. Angels act as a bridge between Heaven and Earth, serving as a channel between God and the physical material world. Each angel is a focus of God's love, channelling it without distortion.
Visionary accounts of heavenly messengers usually describe them as winged or appearing in a 'heavenly light'. The light surrounding angels could be their astral body or aura.
Angels come in all forms, all shapes and sizes and all colours. Some bring comfort in moments of deep despair. 'Messenger' angels have the ability to show up just at the right time. Our guardian angel is always with us and will never leave our side.
Angels will help at any time ~ all we need to do is ask with love and trust in your heart. As long as your request is positive and does not interfere with anyone else's free will and does not interfere with your life plan, then the angels will be able to answer your call.
Here are some ways we can invoke angels into our life.
- Connecting to the higher self. Physical purification consisting of fasting and cleansing will improve our higher-self connection. Addictive foods and substances should also be avoided. Fasting relaxes the subtle-energy systems, and calms and focuses the mind.
- Soothing herbal teas such as chamomile relax the body and mind, allowing heightened states of awareness to manifest.
- Purifying scented candlelit baths containing sea-salt, herbs, flower petals and aromatherapy oils also profoundly open our hearts to spiritual beauty.
- Controlling our ego (lower mind) which is attached to selfish thoughts - by counting our blessings daily also opens the doorway to the angelic realm.
- Meditation with perhaps some relaxing music is very effective.
Creating an Angel Altar is a lovely way to connect with your angels. It is somewhere you can still your mind and open your heart to the angels. It will quickly become your own sacred space; a sanctuary for your soul that is charged with harmonious energy, somewhere you can come to each day to seek renewal.
Creating an angelic altar offers an opportunity to explore your creativity,
expressing yourself emotionally, artistically and spiritually. Angels are
attracted to places of joy, harmony, love and peace. Your altar could include,
- a statue of your favourite angel
- a piece of crystal or some tumblestones
- a candle
- shells
- incence
- flowers
- photos of your loved ones
- essential oils
- angel cards
- feathers
- small notebook and pencil to write notes to your angels
Experiment with the layout; if an item irritates you or upsets you, or is less than inspiring, remove it. Remember to place a representation of anything you want to bring into your life, such as love, spiritual wisdom, compassion, peace or abundance.
